At the Takachiho shrine, you can pay 20 yen and get your fortune on a little piece of paper.  The fortunes range from big luck to little luck.  If you get a fortune which is little luck, you can tie it around a tree branch to give it back to the gods.  My fortune was a love fortune and said I had medium luck.  It also spelled out what kind of partner I would find with astrological sign, blood type, and Chinese zodiac animal.  Apparently I have an aries or gemini love interest in my future.  I think I will give this fortune back to the gods (no offense to my aries friends, I love you guys)
